Small Actions, Massive Impacts. The Power of Exponential Marketing Starts With You.
EXPONENTIAL MARKETING

People reach out to me, often through social media, and ask me to like or follow their events, posts, or activities. I have nearly 4,000 followers on LinkedIn, some of the people I actually know and some I know only as names and job descriptions on my computer screen. We are all willing to connect with each other in the hope of raising our online visibility and improving our business. Typically, if I know the person making the request I will do as they ask and like or follow their page or post. However, the majority of the time when my company, or myself, make an online post (which we do very regularly) those people who have asked for my help, are nowhere to be found.
Just imagine if everyone who is in my sphere of connections, or perhaps more relevant in this conversation are those people with whom you have a connection or affiliation, would like, comment, and share everything you and I post. Suddenly our likes and shares would go from a few to thousands. If properly done, everything you put online could potentially be seen by tens of thousands of people. This impact and growth would truly be exponential.
It almost sounds too good to be true. However, depending upon our approach and commitment to growth it is very possible. We need not carve out hours every day to search our connection’s posts and proactively like, comment, and share. Rather, if each of us would merely identify with our connections, whenever we see their posts and then take action, we will invest little more time than we are now with incredibly powerful results. These actions must be reciprocal. You cannot expect others to support you if you do not support them. Of course this is not one hundred percent. You can only like, comment, and share on the posts you see. At the same time the more often and consistently you do it, the more you will see and the more you will be seen.
The steps to achieve exponential marketing are relatively easy with the key piece being everyone who chooses to take this on and achieve the desired results must follow the following steps.
- Share this concept of Exponential Marketing with your contacts and invite them to join us in the initiative.
- Pay attention to who likes, comments, and shares your posts.
- Whenever you are on social media and someone who supports you, likes, comments and shares your posts, has a post, (that you agree with), like it, comment if practical, and share it.
- Avoid generic comments like “Congratulations” or worse still, “congrats”. If you are going to comment, make it relevant, organic, and authentic.
- Social media for business should not be a popularity contest. If we support each other, we can all benefit and not leave the viral posts to exclusively the “cool kids”.
I am committed to Exponential Social Media Marketing, I hope you will join me!
