The Workbench with Riser - 3 Circuits by Executive Wood Products is a beautiful solid maple hardwood table with butcher block top designed to reduce the risk of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). It can be used as a stand-alone product, or in conjunction with our Extender Bench to extend the work surface of a Workbench. The Extender Bench also allows two Workbench stations to create an "L" shape configuration.
The base of the Extender Bench is painted black and appears to be metal, however the solid maple construction is far superior in terms of safety when using with electronics applications.
Framework
The frame structure for the Workbench is constructed using all maple hardwood products. The legs and support frame are solid maple and is designed for a weight capacity of a minimum of 1,500 pounds.
Each of the four solid maple legs is constructed from a block of laminated maple hardwood to a final dimension of 3" x 3" outside to outside with a radius edge on the exposed edges. Support stretchers are utilized for the support with quality joinery techniques for superior strength.
Riser
Above the work surface butcher block top is a riser panel that provides both privacy and organization.

FINISH:
The Workbench with riser is sanded smooth to assure a good adherence of the finishes. All finish applications, with the exception of the final clear coat, include hand sanding and wiping between coats.
All painted surfaces first get a primer coat, then the color finish is applied for a perfect finish. Finally, a clear coat with satin finish is applied to create a beautiful end product.
The butcher block work surface is sanded smooth and finished in a clear, durable, non-static generating polyurethane finish. This is applied with a minimum of 3 coats in a satin finish with hand sanding between coats.
