This past Wednesday, December 18, was another big day in the history of Executive Wood Products, 230 East Springfield Road, as they became the 279th ‘Buy Missouri Business’ recognized by Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe.
Kehoe and his staff toured the Sullivan manufacturer and presented the certification to owner Paul Alexander and Vice President Tina Siebenman.
Buy Missouri is an initiative created to recognize and promote Missouri companies and manufacturers to the public, and strengthen the state’s economy. The more Missouri products are purchased the better the entire state performs.
The goal of the program is to identify and compile these products so all Missourians, as well as the nation will know which will help the state grow, according to the state website.
Kehoe stated in a press release in 2018 regarding the Buy Missouri program, “I look forward to traveling throughout the state to highlight Missouri businesses and Missouri-made products. Purchasing from Missouri manufacturers supports our state’s economy, but more importantly, it supports our friends and neighbors who work at these companies.”
Keogh was given a tour through the Sullivan business, which was established in 1982 by Alexander.
Alexander states on the company site, “when I founded Executive Wood Products in 1982, I named it to reflect the quality of solid wood products we produced. From our first days, continuing through today, we pride ourselves on proprietary innovation, the best natural materials, and American craftsmanship in every product. We are the largest single supplier of lecterns and podiums to the United States government and the preferred provider of Lecterns, for discriminating users, throughout the United States and 37 other countries.”
Executive Woods has also become a strong provider in ballistic lecterns and podiums as well as other ballistic furniture and pieces for schools, university’s and many government agencies.
Alexander and Kehoe were joined on the tour with Missouri House Rep. Nate Tate, who met the 20 plus employees that operate the machinery and provide the craftsmanship behind Executive Woods.
Kehoe, along with his staff, were truly amazed, as stated through their comments during the tour, with the products being manufactured in Sullivan and how proud they were to see this company become a member of the Buy Missouri program.
The Buy Missouri program was pioneered by Missouri Governor Mike Parson as he served previously as Lt. Governor and continues to grow as businesses meet the criteria set forth in the program.
